And Thou Shalt Honor… will air OCTOBER 9th at 9PM ET. We realize that with the show ending at 11PM, an immediate follow-up is improbable. However, PBS feels that the show is very strong in the 9-11PM spot. Therefore, our goal is to increase the impact over the course of several days. Here are a few suggestions for your station to consider:

• Re-run ATSH the following weekend at a time suitable for follow-up discussions.
• Declare the week of October 9th “Caregiving Week” in your community and build programming and promotion around it.
• Work with your local caregiving coalition to arrange a town hall meeting and follow-up discussions as part of your Program Club effort.
• Team up with the local public radio station to do a call-in show around ATSH.
• If any of the caregivers featured in And Thou Shalt Honor… live in your community, invite them to participate in your outreach activities.
• Re-run And Thou Shalt Honor… in November -- National Family Caregivers month.
• Contact the Barnes&Noble bookstore in your city and explore mutual opportunities.
• Use ATSH and the coalitions to launch a Program Club if you have not started one already.

Here are additional ideas for ways to use our materials:

• Clip Reel: Show it to…
• Your station executives and staff
• Board of Directors (you can bet that this show will resonate with them!)
• Local chapters of the national Outreach Partners (they are listed in the Grassroots section at www.thoushalthonor.org under Action Guide)
• Community meetings
• Local government officials; urge them to show it at meetings

• Your Development Director: suggest that it might make an excellent premium or gift for major donors
• Your Promotion Director: If you are in one of the top 20 markets, the book, tape and press kit are being mailed to TV columnists, as well as columnists and reporters who focus on aging and health issues. The press kit is also being mailed to 500 additional TV columnists and healthcare writers.
• If you are not one of the top 20, this book and tape are good tools for pitching the show to your local media.
