  • Extendedcare.com - www.extendedcare.com - This web site contains an archive of data about aging, health and wellness, and an opportunity to email questions to a geriatric physician. Visitors can take a virtual tour of facilities and search for providers of services online.
  • Family Caregiver Alliance - www.caregiver.org - This web site is provided by the Family Caregiver Alliance. It provides a number of resources focusing on caregiving, specific disease-related information and public policy news. Also included in this site is an information clearinghouse on brain impairments and caregiver assistance.

  • Last Acts Campaign Workplace Task Force Research Findings and Model Programs
    This publication includes a set of model activities it recommends to employers to help their employees plan for an end-of-life situation such as a terminal illness or death of a loved one or co-worker. Ideas for employers are organized as 'no cost', 'low cost', 'moderate cost', and 'high cost' options that workplaces can efficiently provide their employees.

  • Baby Boomers Fear Talking to Parents About Death
    A survey in 1999 by the National Hospice Foundation shows Americans are more likely to talk to kids about drugs or sex than discuss terminal illness with parents. This survey can be adapted by local organizations and used as a point of discussion.
